Wild Plum Lake
Nebraska Public Land
DescriptionBoats restricted to 5 mph (no wake). Owned by the Lower Platte South NRD. **Powderhook Pro Staff Review** Wild Plum is a nice little lake with a few decent largemouth in it. It also has a decent population of small crappie and bluegill. Great lake for kayaking or hunting around. Primitive boat ramp that can be tricky to get anything but a small boat in when the water is down. The parking lot is known to have nails and screws in it so be careful parking. It's recommended to park along the north side of the entry way. --Chris D. **Powderhook Pro Staff Review** Fished wild plum late evening for catfish. We were using cut bait and had some good hits right before the sun went down but as soon as it was dark the bite stopped. There is a nice parking lot and a dirt boat ramp to launch your boat. I have not hunted waterfowl here but there looked to be a few nice spots to set up that are accessible by foot. I did see about 2 dozen ducks roosting on the lake in July. --Zach H.
