Texas Mule Deer Hunt
Texas Public Land
DescriptionThe ranch has been in the family since founding in 1903. Up until 2002, this 20,000 acres (5 pastures) of open range was a working cattle ranch. Due to a 10 year drought, the owners were forced to sell the cattle. This encouraged magnificent Desert Mule Deer to enter the ranch. The region they habitat is as vast and remarkable as the deer themselves. It is a dry, hostile climate and if it doesn’t stick, sting or bite, it must be foreign. Also in abundance are wild Scale Quail, Varmints and Javelina. You can fly into Midland/Odessa, Texas the day before your hunt and rent a car and drive to Goldsmith, Texas (1 hour drive) and on to the ranch.
