It is surrounded by unparalleled Alaskan beauty and is the perfect place to host fishing groups. The area is not accessible by vehicle, only by aircraft. It is southwest of Anchorage within the Chigmit Mountains and the edge of the Aleutian Mountain range. The Lake Clark region is known by many to be Alaska’s Switzerland because of the large surrounding mountains. Those towering mountains lead many to believe we are at a high elevation when actuality we are at 240 feet above sea level. Alaska truly is the last frontier and the Bristol Bay watershed is the world’s most sought after fishing. The fishermen choose from daily outings that are minutes by float plane, wheel plane, prop or jet boat ride to pristine waters of fantastic fishing. July Fishing: This is the best month for the King and Sockeye Salmon run. Dry fly fishing is still excellent for Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Grayling, Arctic Char, Shee Fish, and Northern Pike. Pink Salmon becomes available during this month as well as salt water species such as Halibut, Cod, Shark and Rockfish. Include meals, lodging, guided daily fishing, fishing rods, lures & flies, professional vacuum sealing, preparation of salmon for shipment home (45 #). An airline approved wet lock box or cooler, daily maid service, after dinner fishing or fishing late. Not included: airfare from your home city to Lake Clark, Alaska, airline charges, chest waders, personal clothing, a fishing license of $55 and King Salmon Tag $30 and tips.
