DescriptionHunt in two exclusive areas in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve(1,650,000 acres) which is the prime location in Alaska for a quality hunting adventures and the largest of the national parks in the United States and also the most remote where four mountain ranges converge. This hunt offers unique opportunities for an off-the-beaten-path experience. In order to ensure a high success rate and exceptional trophy quality, only a limited number of hunters are allowed to hunt each year. The hunts are horse and/or backpack hunts so you will need to be in the best shape of your life. Quality wildlife management is practiced in the area so that the population and quality of animals stays high for years to come. Your option is to hunt Moose, Dall Sheep, Black Bear, and Grizzly Bear. This can truly be your hunt of a lifetime! Your adventure begins with a flight to Fairbanks. Your destination is Snag Creek, Alaska which is southeast of Fairbanks so, you must then transfer to 40-Mile Air (contact the airline directly for ticketing). The cost of your round trip charter flight to the hunting area is $945 and is to be paid directly to 40-Mile Air. If you need to stay in a hotel in Fairbanks with courtesy airport shuttle service there are many nationwide choices such as Super 8 and Comfort Inn along with the Alaskan traditions of Pike’s Landing and Captain Bartlett. Please check-in at the 40-Mile Air counter at Gate 1 of the Fairbanks International Airport no later than 1:00PM. Our service from Fairbanks to Tok departs at 2:00PM. Baggage is limited to 50 pounds due to the weight restrictions on the flight from Tok to camp. The van trip will take approximately 3 1⁄2 hours to get to Tok or flight time would be 1 1⁄2 hours. The cost of your round trip service will be $945.00. You will overnight in Tok with an early morning departure to camp. State law requires all non-residents to purchase a hunting license plus tag fees for each animal hunted. Be advised that once the tags are purchased, there are no refunds. You will need to plan ahead and purchase your license and tags online at www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license. Be sure to get your Harvest Ticket along with License and Tags. It is important to be physically prepared in order to enjoy mountain hunting to the fullest. Most likely you will work harder on this hunt than on any other type of hunt you have undertaken. That does not mean it will not be enjoyable, but it will be far more enjoyable if you are in proper condition. There will be NO extra charge for days spent in camp after the hunt is over if these day are due to bad weather or transportation problems. On the other hand, if you are forced to stay in town due to bad weather at the beginning of the hunt there will be NO refund for lost hunting days. It is imperative that you pack light. Your bag must not weigh over 50#. Success rate is 75% - 95% depending on the species. PRICE INCLUDES: Freshly cooked meals at base camp and freeze-dried food during the hunt, accommodations which are tents at base camp and backpack tents during the hunt, and trophy field preparation. PRICE EXCLUDES: Air fare from Fairbanks to base camp via 40- Mile Air ($945.00), licenses and tags, trophy and meat shipment, special food, cost of medications, immunizations, hospitalizations and services of doctors, charges for evacuation or rescue by ambulance, helicopter or airplane and any other service or product that is not agreed or mentioned in this document.
