North Carolina Hunter Education With Range Component


This is a day-long class. All instruction and the exam is given on the same day.There will be an optional range event offered for the class. (this will be on a different day.Students under 12 may not want to consider this class because of the amount of material covered and being tested on in a short time period.A lunch period is observed from 1:00-2:00. Students may use this time to eat and study for the test.You may bring food for lunch. (a refrigerator and microwave is available) Other information will be sent in an email after you register for the course.

About North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission

This course meets the hunter education requirement for all first-time hunting license buyers in North Carolina. Certification is accepted in every state and province in North America. Following completion of the course requirements a certification card will be sent, typically within 14 days. Pertinent information is recorded into the agency database upon completion.Yes, a time-managed, online course (Today's Hunter) is available for those who cannot attend a regularly scheduled Hunter Education Classroom Course. Upon successful completion of the online course, students must register for and successfully complete the Internet Field Day event and a proctored exam in order to fulfill course requirements.
