From Omaha: 75 S to 370. Left on 370 towards Old Town Bellevue. Follow 370 as it turns into Mission. Follow Mission through Old Town to Hancock. Right on Hancock. go straight as Hancock becomes Harlan Lewis at the bottom of the hill. As the speed limit changes to 55 you will see the entrance to Offutt Base Lake on the left. Go through the entrance and take a right at the stop sign. Follow Lake Dr all the way around till you see the Pavilion on your left. Special Instructions for All Students This is a dual class covering both Firearm Hunter Education and Bowhunter Education. TO RECEIVE BOTH A FIREARM AND A BOWHUNTER CERTIFICATE, STUDENTS MUST REGISTER FOR BOTH. Students who register for dual classes must attend all sessions regardless of any hunter education certificates they may have obtained previously. Bring a pen or pencil and be prepared to take notes. Bring a lunch, snacks and drinks to get you through the day or have a means of transportation to get some. The Castaways Boat House will have snacks, drinks and hot food for sale from 10:30AM-6:00PM. A lunch hour is scheduled for both days.

Archery Hunters ages 12 through 29 must have completed a separate Bowhunter Education Course and carry proof on their person when hunting Deer, Antelope, Elk or Mountain Sheep with a bow and arrow or crossbow. Bowhunter education courses will provide instruction in the safe use of bowhunting equipment, the fundamentals of bowhunting, shooting and hunting techniques, game identification, conservation management as well as hunter ethics.Bowhunter education classes are offered by knowledgeable and dedicated volunteer instructors for students 12 through 29 years of age. Students 11 years of age and older on the examination day will be able to take the test and complete the course and may be issued a certificate of successful completion of the course.The Classroom Course must include a minimum of 10 hours of instruction and be a minimum 2 sessions. Most classes offered are 3 to 5 sessions.Certification from those states and provinces that include bowhunting as a just a portion of their Hunter Education Course will not meet the requirements for bowhunting certification in Nebraska. Be aware, we honor only a separate Bowhunter Education Course, and your proof must clearly state it is a BOWHUNTER EDUCATION COURSE.We do not prevent attendance based on age; however:
