Hunter Education Classroom Course
Welcome to Stemmers Run Rifle & Pistol Club's Hunter Education The Class Will Start at 6 PM Sharp so plan to arrive by 5:45 Pm Each Night The Class Will Be Held in the Lower Barnes Classroom. The Classroom is located in the lower portion of the main building just inside the driveway. Please Remember-- Parking is HEAD IN ONLY and beyond the bridge is reserved for Badge Holders (members) ONLY. I will have ORANGE ARROW signs posted on Marriottsville Road and Wards Chapel Road also in the areaway to the classroom. Any changes to the tentative schedule will be discussed in class. (Weather Concerns) FAQ's Dress for the weather. On the day of the Practical Exercises, Wear Appropriate Clothing. AVOID Open Toed shoes or sandals and Shorts, as we will be walking through a known TIC AREA. 3 Day Traditional Course WHAT TO BRING 1) A Photo Id (Drivers License) or 2) A copy of a birth cert. (minors or non-drivers) 3) Bring Class Materials from Day 1 back to class with you as the presentation is from the "Todays Hunter Booklet" Please Bring along Food(snacks)or Water as desired. BUG SPRAY For the Trail Walk Components include: DAYS 1 & 2 Classroom Presentation and Discussions. Short Breaks will be given each evening. All Necessary Materials will be provided. Day 3 A trail walk with crossing obstacles and shooting scenarios. A live fire range exercise, Hearing and Eye protection will be provided. You are welcome to bring Personal EYE and EAR protection if you prefer. A 50 question multiple choice exam. Must obtain 80% to pass . For SAFETY Concerns: NO LIVE AMMUNITION is allowed in the class. No Personal Firearms: The program supplies everything needed for the class activities. Personal Firearms for range practice (Membership required) must be CASED and kept in your vehicle & must comply with MD. transport laws. Looking forward to meeting everyone in class!
