Hunter Education Classroom Course
Saturday and Sunday will be at the Maquoketa Ike's Clubhouse, 20374 22nd St., Maquoketa. Class will start at 8 a.m. each day, but it may end earlier or go longer therefore have a way to contact your ride. Participant needs to pick up a "Today's Hunter" Manual at the Hurstville Interpretive Center no later then Wednesday, August 16th. Complete the chapter review questions in the back of the book before Saturday, August 19th. Please bring a sack lunch and a pen or pencil with you each day. About Iowa Department of Natural Resources
Iowa law requires that anyone born after January 1, 1972 must be certified in hunter education before they are eligible to purchase an Iowa hunting license.Typically there is no charge for the course, unless lunch is furnished or room rental is required. If a charge is required for the items mentioned previously, the class will indicate the amount to be charged in the special instructions section prior to completing the class registration process. All charges must be paid upon arrival to the class in the form of cash or check. Hunter Education Classroom courses are offered by knowledgeable and certified volunteer instructors and Iowa Conservation Officers.Classroom courses are typically 12-15 hours in length and are held over 2 to 3 sessions (days).
