Geocaching – Modern Day Treasure Hunt

Kids love to be pirates searching for hidden treasure, so Geocaching is a great way to get kids outside and exploring.

Kids will find out what Geocaching is, the rules and tools needed and how to stay safe while on their treasure hunt. We will play fun games to explain what GPS is and how it is used for Geocaching. Then we will find a couple of Geocaches hidden here at Deep River County Park. Finally every kid will get a chance to make their very own Geocache for hiding.

* Note: If parents can download the Geocaching app to your phone, that would be helpful! Get the Geocaching App here
