Critter Corner

Description

What is it like to sleep underground? How do I keep myself warm in the winter? Why do I only eat plants? Get an introduction to the Nebraska’s wildlife by jumping into their feet (or hooves). In the Critter Corner, which is perfect for ages 10 and under, you can observe how animals move, feel, and eat. Make crafts, read stories and role-play so that you can better understand animal life. First Saturday of the month from 2-4 PM we will focus on a different animal. March 5th – Rabbits April 2nd – Fantastic Fish May 7th – Smelly Skunks June 4th – Frogs vs. Toads July 2nd – Birds August 6th – Aquatic Mammals September 3rd – Ducks October 1st – Nocturnal Animals November 5th – Turkeys December 3rd – Deer, Antelope, & Elk The cost is $3 for the activity or $6 including an hour of archery range time for youth.
