Canoe Trip in the Danube Bend

Detailed description: The bus will depart at 9 am. Roughly within an hour we reach Visegrád. Due to its strategic role, the area played an important role in the Hungarian history. First, we discover the Visegrád Castle, its history and cultural importance with the help of audioguide. We will see a reconstructed royal residence building, history of the Royal Crown; hunting, fishing and agricultural exhibition, reconstructed model-fortress and many more. The Citadel is definitely the most amazing view of the Danube Bend. After discovering the castle, we continue our trip to Pilismarót that stays only half an hour away from Visegrád towards Esztergom. Upon arrival, we will have time to eat our sandwiches or prepare ourselfes for the rowing by drinking a beer or pálinka. Safety instructions and rowing techniques will be introduced in few words before we take our canoes to the water and start our rowing trip towards Dunabogdány. During the canoeing trip, we will learn more about the wildlife of the Duna. We will visit a breathtaking place, the Duna Bend which is an UNESCO world heritage site. We will be able to see the Visegrád Citadel from this point of view, too.   9.00 Departing from Budapest 11.30  Discovering the Visegrád Castle 12.00 Starting the rowing trip 16.00 Finishing the rowing trip in Dunabogdány 17.30 Arrival back in Budapest     Participation fee: 7 000 HUF - Private Transport by Modern Mini Bus - English Speaking Accompany - Canoe and Equipment rent - Visegrád Castle Entrance Fee   Excluding: - Travel Insurance - Meals MORE INFO BOOKING INTER-HELPDESK HUNGARY
